Card games

What other card games do you play?

Online I just play poker, sometimes hearts but very rare
In the pub, Euchre, Crib and Crash.
And in the house a bit if switch and snap with the kids.

Euchre is a great game, I probably prefer this to poker, just hard to get a game sometimes.

    Yeah this is probably my fave game, won and lost a lot of money  playing it many occasion.

    I always play 3 card brag when i am at the Casino. I love it and am very lucky at it.

    Always play crash when i am at home, great game.

    I never play black jack.

    Play shoot too and 3 card sometimes, i've seen alot of money lost in 3 card between 2 local business men 3s against aces with keys going into the pot

    Used to play cribbage a lot in the pub. Then the smoking ban came into force and it sort of died then. Bloody nanny state we live in!

    As far as players playing blind is concerned this is how we play.

    You have to put in double the amount that the blind is betting but there's only one round of betting anyway until the raises have stopped and everyone has called.

    A good variation of brag is getting 3 hole cards and a flop of 3 community cards one at a time.

    Or four card brag where you simply chuck one away.

    If you are playing a game where you want to see players while the betting is still going on whether they are blind or not, the 2 players involved privately show each other their hands and one folds. If they are blind then look at their cards and return them face down and tell them if they are out or not. Bit dodgy but it makes everyone sweat when the betting resumes.

    Just get rid of the 'can't see the blind man' rule cos it spoils the fun by the sound of it. If you have covered his bet then you have called him as far as i am concerned.

    gemerally i can and have played everything with the exception of bridge. no were near the cards in clubs and pubs as to what there used to be. 4 card brag better game than 3 and shoot the pool is mental. Game thats well worth playing is nomination whist, lasts for ages and just have a small stake on it since playing for proper money in pubs and clubs can lead to tears. When i was way younger there was no work and it was a very poor saterday when my £20 sat afternoon money was not turned into £100 playing 3 card brag and that covered all my drink and losing horses. Lost two weeks running and couldnt figure it out then one of the lads told me that someone had worked out all my tells. Packed it in there and then. My dad used to play 3 card when he was younger in glasgow and until he got married he gave my grandmother all his wages because he supported himself and his habits(women) on his cards.

    8-5-3, three player trumps it does my wifes head in though went she's losing at it, i mean she really goes into a strop.

    I used to play crash every friday night in the boozer......until the smoking ban!!!. Great game but alot of luck needed. I also used to play crib as I was taught how to play this when I was about 5 by my dad. This is probably why I love poker so much nowadays  :)
