Brilliant result tonight Hitman, Hodgson is doing a cracking job.

My top 2 Liverpool results are the 2005 Champions League final win(bit obvious that one) and the 4-1 drubbing of Man Utd at Old Trafford last year. When Dossena lobbed Van Der Sar to wrap it up me and my best mate were laughing for the next 10mins. To see a £7m reject of a left-back burst through and do that was just brilliant, the icing on the cake. :-)

As a LIFE LONG man u fan i watched the 2005 final and was praying for Liverpool to get a hiding. At half time i was laughing my head off.

Then Liverpool started playing better and better and Milan started trying to spoil the game and fell apart. As the Liverpool goals were going in i wanted more and more for them to win and found myself willing them on. When they won i was elated and cheered as much as any scouser. I had respect for them and what they did and have wanted them to lose every game before and since. I am not sure what came over me to be honest. I just did not want Milan to win. Hope you appreciate my honesty and unbiasedness lol.

It was without a doubt one of the best games of football i have ever seen. Last year at old trafford...............Can't remember a second of it lol.

    Well done Fulham. Absolutely fantastic.

Fulham tonight, came of age....superb!!!!!!! go for it boys.......

Got to say, a fantastic result for youe boys there. Roy Hodgson is doing a brilliant job at the Cottage, on a pittance, it has to be said. It's no wonder that a lot of people with a lot of knowledge about the game tipped him to be England manager before Capello got it. Just think it's a shame that Bobby Zamora won't go to the World Cup, just because he doesn't play for a "glamour club".

By the way, my favourite result of the past few seasons was in January. My team, the mighty Leeds, went to Old Trafford and beat them 1 -0 in the FA cup, good times!

Thank you Mate, and thanks to all!!

The atmos. was the best i've seen at cottage in 36 years!! only bout 200 juve tucked in a side corner, so whole away end full of mad singing Fulham fans and friends/guests, this stand normally 3K away fans, 3k 'neutrals' tourists, guests, so mostly only away singing only!! Our riverside stand has a reputation of being a bit 'Corporate', [Keane's prawn sand. Brigade, to quote]. So normally, all atmos. generated from hard core 7-10k on two sides.

BBBUUTT............ cause all tickets were sold mostly thru sean tickets holders to nerest and dearest who wanted to come and party, never seen anything like it!! Was like first Wimbledon sunday, when All Joe Public queued all nite for 25K odd tickets, then mexican waved all day!!!

Juve scored after 1min 40, a deathly silence reigned for only a minute....Then ..25 thousand people, from all four sides of ground, rose to sing 'Stand up for Roy Hodgson' seemingly forever! My eyes are welling, and neck hairs standing even now!!......pauses emotionally.................................................................................

4 goals, no voice, & sore hands 91mins later, History was made for us!!!

p.s It was nearly as good as winning Primo.....LOL

I commented on the forum a few weeks ago that Hodgson is possibly the best manager in the premiership.
    I maintain that view.

You are right about Fulhams budget and he is a good manager, but if he was the next manager at Man United would he win 10 Premierships (might be 11 i've lost count), a few FA Cups and League Cups and Two Champions League Cups and other European Cups and World Club Champions Cups..........Not to mention the only Club treble in history oh and all the domestic and Euro cups he won with 'much skinter than Fulham' Aberdeen. Now please don't make me laugh and say that he or anybody else would.

He also has and still does bring through very good and sometimes fantastic young players for nothing.

No one in history has ever been a better Manager than Fergie and never will be. Hate him and say it's all money all you like but you can't take it away from him.

To say that Fergie only wins owt cos of money is THE biggest load of cobblers that anyone who dogs him or Man Utd off has to say (though admittedly he is not the most likeable chap in the world lol).

    Up the Champions.

Wow, a very dispassionate and objective response!
I never said Fergie only wins because of money. He has an amazing record in Scotland and England (apart from the Scotland national team). It helps the team somewhat when you can buy players for 10, 20 and 30 million though. Look what Kenny Dalglish achieved at Blackburn, winning the premiership by buying most of the team.
Hodgson has had success all over Europe, never having much money to spend. Granted, Fergie will undoubtedly be rated the better manager, certainly one of the best of all time, up there with Bob Paisley, Brian Clough and Alan Mullery!

Totally agree with everything above m8. Sorry if my response seemed a bit narky lol, wasn't supposed to be. It was sort of aimed at everyone who says money this & that about Fergie.

Everybody is entitled to my opinion lol.

You & Seagull have both made very valid points, so no problem, looks like Seagulls original comment which was a compliment to Roy & Fulham, may have hit a nerve with you!
What would have been ur reaction if comment ended......" more than Man C. & co. spend in a week"....LOL

In truth, I have the upmost respect for Fergie in what he has achieved, and the way he has conducted hiself, throughout his manergerial career, [meybe Mr. G Neville could learn from him, lol], Roy is just recieving plaudits probably  long overdue. Apparently Roy & Alex get on very well!! A la the mutually benificial Smalling deal!!

I hope you win the Premiership again, partly due to a slight local rivalry we have to endure!!! Massive Exaggeration!!

Good luck on the tables to you both.
