sharkscope!

edited March 2010 in Poker Chat
I read a few saying they look at stats etc on sharkscope but have to say

1.  They are rarely up to date
2.  They never show cash
3.  They just promote conflabs between players

I must say i never check stats but do my own pages of notes on my pc which i use but i never trust pointless scope its normally 6 months out.

Sharkscope does not account for cash games, only mtts & sit & goes, I regularly satellite into 15k primo for instance, so sharkscope shows this as a £33 loss, when in actual fact it only cost me £1.20 or £2.40 for instance. So although it is a fair reflection of a players performance, do not by any means take it as an accurate assessment of a players game/ability.

I am confidant that many players who know me will consider me as a very solid player, however, my sharkscope results may tell you otherwise and if you want to play your game against me based on these results then I wish you all the very best.

But don't be dissapointed when I prove these stats wrong against you.

    very well put Trev,

i dont think it takes into account bounties either does it?

maybe its just because i am subscriber to sharkscope ,

i find all stats updated 2 mins after the game is over ,

i find they may miss out in the odd like 1/500  games ,

the info i get from the stats still need a little work .

one has got to decipher the info they want from the stats ,

this i suppose is easier if you subscribe,

i have been a subscriber for roughly 2 years now,

and found its payed for itself  each month 10 , 20 times over and sometimes more .

        but like all tools ,

        practice makes perfect,

so i keep telling irishraver lol  !

I've used it for a little while now, and it's never been out of date. About the cash they clearly say it's only for tournement poker so can't see the problem there.

it takes into account all profit, so bounties are included, if you noticed bhs were you didnt cash but took 1 head for 3.75 it shows only a 7.25 loss for that tourney.

I don't subscribe to Sharkscope, but I find it a useful tool and often use the free searches to check my opponents and keep notes (yep, I'm a tight ******). My stats appear to be almost completely accurate and up to date, the only glitch I've noticed is that when I have won a qualifier to a £10 + £1 buy-in tourney it doesn't realise I had a free seat and shows an £11 loss. I hardly ever play cash, but I always take into consideration that cash form isn't included, it's easy to use the Sky Poker league to see if your opponents are cash specialists or mainly tournament players.

Where do Sharkscope get the results? It says in their FAQ that the results are all publicly available, but I can't find Sky tourney results anywhere. Do Sharkscope buy the results from Sky?

Totaly agree my biggest win on an MTT  of 3 thousand pounds never showed up guess the graph isnt big enough lol but when it works i just use it to look at my stats to see how im doing and where im winning and losing. Never worth asuming its right on some other player just play them normaly it could get you in trouble.
