Read it whilst having a coffee and thought it must be a joke but no. They should of gone on the chunnel by car as two occasions when i have driven through i haven't even had to show a passport! reached to get it off mate in front seat and we got waved past and that was the only checkpoint, once the other side you just drive off on to the motorway.
