The Differing Dynamics: Live Game vs. Online Poker

edited April 2010 in The Poker Clinic
I was reading an interesting thread here earlier on about how various players would play AKs vs an all-in preflop shove against a player who is seemingly tilted and 'in the dark' (i.e., not having looked a their cards). It lead to some players saying 'snap call' and others believing it to be a snap fold. It raised an interesting question, which is how live poker differs in dynamics to online poker.

So, to christen the Poker Clinic, I am throwing a posting gauntlet down to you.

Players who play both live and online: can you give us your thoughts on how - if at all - playing online and live differ in your experience. Do you find players play tighter or looser? Better or worse? What moves work live that don't online, or vice versa?

All thoughts and comments welcome, and hopefully online players who haven't played live will feel more confident of what they can expect when they hit the likes of the Sky Poker Tour.
