what a waste 'o' money.

If my missus had bags under her eyes she would still want the hundred quid shoes to match and then probably wear them twice or so ever.

In the good old days before the recession we all bought stuff for a few quid that we hardly used. A Ferrari that we only drive for an hour every other Sunday...........Some hundred quid Airmax that we started wearing for work and were knackered in a week.......A mark one Capri that you will never do up............Some 300 quid golf clubs when you never play......A jet ski....etc

What are your worst wastes of money, how much and why????

    I once paid 80 quid to suprise the missus and take her to see Bryan Adams live at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield.

    Got the tickets and hid them, then forgot all about them and totally forgot about the whole thing and never turned up.

    Realised a month after that we had missed it.

    £80 seems a fair price to miss Bryan Adams!!!

    My most recent waste of money was when I foolishly upgraded my tape based four track recorder (which we were merrily toddling along with) to an all singing supposedly all dancing CD 8 track system.....and I just can't do a thing with it......maybe it just picks up the actual racket rather too well.

    PAID £250 (ABOUT A MONTHS WAGES) FOR A CD PLAYER FOR MY FIRST CAR A MK1 ESCORT IN THE LATE 80S WHEN I GOT IT HOME MY DAD WHO WAS A MECHANIC POINTED OUT IT WOULD NEED A NEAR TOTAL REWIRE TO PUT THE THING INTO SUCH AN OLD CAR AND IT WOULD ALSO NEED ABOUT £150 FOR SPEEKERS WHICH WOULD LAST ABOUT 10 MINUTES IN A MK 1 ESCORT BEFORE THEY GOT NICKED.
    THE SHOP WOULDNT TAKE THEM BACK AS ID TAKEN IT OUT OF THE BOX. STUCK IT UNDER MY BED WITH THE INTENTION OF SELLING IT FORGOT ABOUT THEM UNTIL I MOVED OUT ABOUT 6 YEARS LATER WHEN IT WAS SOLD OLD AND OUTDATED I SOLD IT AT A BOOT SALE FOR A TENNER

    I paid £499 for an electric golf trolley, used it once, it was in the car boot, my car was nicked from a car park while i was watching disney on ice with the kids, used in an armed robbery and dumped. Luckily i got my car back intact, unluckily the scumbags stole my trolley. Was i insured, yep, did they pay up, no the assoles said that contents like that were only covered if i pacifically stated it the noobs.

    I once paid £200 for 2 magic beans from a stall on Doncaster market.  The old lady promised me the beanstalk would touch the clouds in a matter of days.




    It's a good job i've got a head for heights because it's an absolute whopper!

    I spent a tenner today on a 6 fold football Acca - 5 failed :(

    I ordered a dominoes pizza, the other day when I was mega hungover, at like midday - £15 quid and I ate it in 2 bites.......

    I bought a set off free-weights when I was 16, then joined a gym a week later......

    Set of ice skates - and I used them 3 times....Puled a bird once so I guess that has implied value in poker terms, altho wud that mean I paid for sex? hmmm.....ill think about that en...

    Paying for taxis when I cant be bothered to wait for a bus (or buy a car)....always a waste of money....

    Paid for Setanta sports for 3 months to watch last yrs IPL - didnt enjoy it at all ad breaks every over, waste of money......

    Lapdances.......Ive bought loads, but as Im always leathered when I do it, and cant store them in the w@nk bank, they go down as a waste of money.....

    Entry into every satellite ive ever played, must be like £6/700 .....waste of money, never ever qualified from one........

    Train tickets to watch Donny in the LDV vans final in Cardiff - Dr train, complete waste of money, in fact, If Id known it was gonna be dry and a 7 hour journey - Id have paid not to have had to go !!!

    Im sure theres more, but in the meantime Ill go waste some more on a poker table somewhere :)
