and as I write that dantb10 with QJ busts Aces, by turning a straight Never happens to me either. Mind you I'd never play QJ. The cards are too low and not connected enough Posted by SPT
IS TP next year going to change to TLP? (Typical lucky Player) ?
With Dan and Ben with chips now, I fear for any small stacks on their tables.
Also, a big thank you to Rich Orford who was kind enough to have a chat with me over the phone this afternoon at the request of my bf Ronnie. Absolutely lovely guy and even took it quite well when i embarrassed myself by telling him i have a crush on him. Lovely guy, pity about his poker playing!
Looking forward to another great event and looking forward to seeing you again R, proper household event for the Solar crew as me and my good lady Yorkie74 (she was railing at APAT) are taking on the mighty 150 field. 2 good presenter players so I expect big things from both of them JH - 38th RO- 71st Combined = 109 Dave Posted by SolarCarro
Hi Solar hunni
Very best of luck to both you and your good wife yorkie74...lovely speaking to you both last night xxxxxx
Ozzie09 10-10 Richard Orfford K-K all in pre-flop Q-6-6-10-A and Orford has 125 left! Posted by SPT
Yes, just to clarify my exit- I limped in under the gun with KK (waiting for the inevitable raise round the back), there was a mid-position caller and then, as hoped, Aussie09 on the small blind raised it to 600. I pumped it back up to 1800 and he went back straight over the top for all his chips and practically all mine.
I snap-called. He showed 10-10. The mid-position caller immediately announced he'd folded A-10.
So the 10 that Aussie hit on the turn was in fact the all-singing, all-dancing, no-money-back-guaranteed ONE-OUTER.
Of course it was going to come- indeed Tikay was doing a little jig next to the table and chanting 'TEN, TEN, TEN!' to make sure it happened. And when it did there was much fist pumpage from the old-timer.
I was mentally counting up my 11,000 chips and wondering what I was going to spend them on, when suddenly KERBANG!
I'm down to 125 chips.
THAT, my friends, is poker.
It was four hours ago, but I am over it now. As you can see...
In Response to Re: SPT Live Update thread (and competition!) : He KO'd me!!! When I left he was up to 12-13K, playing well, not getting himself into any difficult situations, that was a couple of hours ago. Posted by Kevilfish

Penguin has hopes...
3-6 and Penguin is felted as Bendog, who I luckily found walking past as this hand occurred, doubles up
Players dropping like flies with constant all in confrontations as the blinds rise and stacks get shorter
