hi guys!! last friday i played a £35 freeze out in aspers swansea..

60 runners - 5k chips - 300000 chips in play

with a bout 8 players left i look at the payout table

1st - 800
2nd - 450
3 - 320
4 - 195
5 - 120
6 - 80

i was average stack but the blinds are so big it could easily change.. i double up with kings and went card dead for a while..

as i was skint at the time (car arghhhh) i looked at the payout table and thought 3rd place for £300 would be a great result..

slowly people got knocked out until there were 4 left... i was in the big blind with queens and utg gos all in followed by 2 calls!!

What do you do here??

i folded and the chip leader knocks 2 out with kings..

he offers the split of taking 100 off 1st to make it a £700, 550 split

villan = 240k
me = 60k

SHOULD I HAVE

1 - TAKE THE SPLIT
2 - TAKE HIM ON FOR £800 AND THE TITLE

as i needed the br boost i split, but now wish i didnt

If you win, you only get £150 more than if you split.  If you lose, you leave with £100 less than if you split.  As you are a 4-1 dog, I'd take the money and run every time.

its £250 more!!

no split 1st = £800

2nd £450

basically playing for £350.. if he gives £100 then hes giving me 7/2

No split imo, one double and you're nearly 50/50. The shorter stack often takes it down, I came back from 40/1960 to win in my last hu turbo game here.
