Well Hung (The official Primo show thread)
Well supposedly it will be hung.. Paliament that is.
It does my heart good to keep up with current affairs.. even if nobody actually knows what on earth is happening.
Well that, and I needed an excuse for a natty thread title.
What I do know is that tonight's PRIMO will be AWESOME
(Go on Irene..say it.. Just once
I am BACK from my two week Barge extravaganza where I cought Barge flu on day two (Think Man-Flu but in a draughty barge in wind and rain with NO heating, two loud snorers and cold showers), sailed the beautiful midlands and experienced such sights as Dead arm at night', 'Dead duck in Canal' and 'Dead dog in Lock' and now I have returned a mere husk of my former self. Which, let's face it, can only be an improvement.
Oh I also ate my body weight in toast and Honey and inbibed Night nurse like it was Champagne. Good times!
The lovely Mr James Hartigan is my Skipper for this evenings soiree and is fresh faced and full of stories from SPT Glasgow to thrill and delight you all.
Oh hang on, James has just come in and it would appear that he is also of the hacking cough and husky voice!!
The crew are now looking at us with a mixture of acute distrust and blind terror and strapping little cloth squares over their faces whilst lobbing what appears to be industrial strength hand sanitiser at our heads.
So feel free to leave your questions, stories and Man-Flu solutions on this here thread.
We will also accept Chicken soup, Pity and Sympathy. Especially sympathy.

His commentary when he went all in in the alternative main event was legendary, he was supposed to be commenting on the SPT instead he concentrated on a Sit and Go!!

Yes, it would seem that both members of tonight's on-air team are coughing, spluttering and losing their voices.
But, as Freddie Mercury famously sang, "The show must go on." Just as Queen carried on, after Freddie's sad demise. (I know it was with Paul Young and was utterly rubbish, but that's not the point!)
Anyway, I digest. There's a very good chance that by 10pm, I'll no longer be able to speak. Some might say that's not a bad thing. Am I really qualified to analyse a NLHE tournament after crashing out of SPT Glasgow in 144th place by over-playing KQ? Well, as a wise man from Doncaster once said, I am to poker what Jedward are to singing...
So, expect me to mime my analyis during the second half of the show and tell those "thrilling" and "delightful" stories from Scotland using sign language. Oh, wait. I don't actually know sign language. Epic fail.
On a serious note, I'd like to say a big hello to everyone who made it to Glasgow for the SPT. And a super-size hello to everyone who played at my table in the main event and tolerated my mediocre dealing and laggy shoving in the S&Gs. Eh, we had a laff!
Finally, I'd like to echo LM's request for your questions, your stories from the SPT and your medical remedies.

oh and lisa can you ask James what he meant when he told me that women are the rake??? i think he was referring to you during this convo
For your bad throats I suggest a quick gargle with boiled water and sea salt before you start and in the breaks!

Eeeeew Salty mouthwash in the breaks. Can't I just have Coffee and Cola?
Speaking of excess sugar I have just scoured the building in search of nutrition and came up with three mini packets of fruit pastilles and ywo mini Aero's for my dinner. I did try the vending machine for crisps and muffins but the damn thing is stunned or something. I can see the sweet lardiness but the doors won't open. Sounds a bit like my brain at the moment.
Oh what the hell. I may just go crazy and drop mini smarties into the mix. If I can prize them away from the security of Runner Dan and his Secret stash drawer.
That'll be me for the night then. Voice like a 60 a day smoker, high on a sugar and a wee bit slow boat to china (I just had to ask someone for the name of the dispency thing with the crisps that begins with 'V')
