Lobby Timeouts

edited May 2010 in Poker Chat
The lobby windows timing out is absolutely horrible.

I often have the floating lobby window of the main tournament I am playing on screen and other lobbies in tabs in my browser.  Now every few minutes it brings the lobby window forward and forces you to either continue or close.  When you are multi-tabling you really need the lobbies available to see where you are in a tournament and having the browser window pop-up mid hand is a terrible decision.

It was bad enough when Sky removed the ability to rail tournaments for more than 10 minutes but to force a "keep watching" / "close" windows decision upon us in tournaments we are playing is ludicrous.

I hope Sky either remove the lobby timeout or at least make it an option to disable somewhere - along with an option to disable the timeout of railed tables.

Aaron.

I can only get 1 lobby up at once? That was bad, i agree theres no need to time it out, nor is there a need to do it when watching a table....y?

I agree, silly idea, if a lobby is up I want it to stay up!

I could only get 1 floating lobby at once, you used to be able to open as many as you liked.

To fix this I would open one lobby, cut the address and paste it into a tab in the browser.  Then open the next lobby etc.

I expect players in The Primo would enjoy clicking "Keep Watchin" on their lobby 30 times during the duration of the tournament.

Ahhhhh thinking and dancing! Used to frustrate me. Hard enough playing 2 tournys without having to keep clicking each lobby when I wanted to follow something.

Very annoying - please remove it or give us the option to dissable it.

Please remove this function as it serves no purpose for me as a player. I often sit with the tourney lobby open on my screen and in  a long mtt it's very annoying getting asked to keep it open.

Good grief! I've just come across this new "feature"? and it is truly awful!
Please remove it or at least allow us to disable it! I have the lobby open as a reference, it is not something I forget to close down or want to close down!

+1 on all of the above.

Totally agree only being playing for a couple of hours and it has really got on my T1TS !!!!

    Yes, I totally agree.
It's extremely frustrating when trying to multi-table MTTs.

It would be great if you could also remove the time-out when railing tables.
For us sad people who multi-table rail, it makes things rather tricky.

+1 it's a pain in the neck, particularly when playing in an MTT.

    Do you mean  this?

No, railed tables closing every 10 minutes are a problem since an update to the software quite a while back.  The Lobby timing out after 10 minutes is a whole new thing since Tuesday.

That is not a software issue, I believe that is hardware related.

Totally agree cannot think of a reason why this has been done??thought i was going mad at first as i minimise the lobby and just keep check of it,but it kept vanishing so glad i spotted this thread.
