hi-lo omaha

tk,in the above game when when does your hand contain a low hand?

    There must be five (non-paired) cards of 8 or lower in your five card hand. An ace counts as a low card in this case.

    You must play two cards from your hand and three from the board.

    So, if you don't have at least two cards of 8 or lower in your hole cards you cannot make a low hand.
    Similarly, if there are not at least three cards of 8 or lower on the board, no-one can make a low hand.

    Hands that do not qualify for a low hand include:

    Your hand     Board
    AA23            A4KQJ
    AA23            4455Q
    KKQQ           A2345
