Did you have any previous with the opponent? It's hard to say with no info really, there's two ways that a min raise can normally be read and it's either air or monster so any information you have on the opponent would help the situation greatly.

Also if you could include stack sizes it would help too.

Stack sizes are in that info i posted in my first post.

I dint get involved with many hands untill this hand. He had taken one guy out and doubled up, But thats all i know. Blinds were early.

    He had 5000 i had 1500

His hole cards weren't junk or a premium pair if opted to flat call your raise, though he bought himself the luxury of position with a dominating stack.

The re-raise would set off alarm bells for me, maybe his pocket pair had improved to trips, or his A8 improved to a straight.

Your check on the turn was the white flag.

Unless he was using his large stack to bully the table I would say you were probably correct to fold.

he told me he had qj. so he was aiming for str8.

i guess stack size ment he could raise like that

I'd take that with a pinch of salt, he was probably trying to make the table think that he was happy get involved in big pots with just a straight draw. It could be true, QJ would certainly be in his range, but don't always believe what you read in the chatbox.
