The Sky Poker World Cup - a hat-trick of offers!
What is the Sky Poker World Cup?
We’re fielding a strong team of World Cup themed promotions which are sure to get pulses racing. We’ve got some massive freerolls and some even bigger prizes to give away in our Sky Poker World Cup Final Tournament.
World Cup Kick-Off Freeroll
To start the World Cup we’ve got a freeeroll with a twist. The top 32 players from the ‘World Cup Kick-Off Freeroll’ will be assigned a team participating in the World Cup. The team you are assigned depends on where you finish (i.e. 1st place gets the favourite, 2nd place gets second favourite). Check the tournament prize structure in the lobby to see which team corresponds to positions 1—32.
Once you have a team, your prize depends on how your team performs. For example if your team wins the World Cup, you win a seat to the SPT Final! Click the table on the right for a breakdown of all prizes.
The World Cup Kick-Off Freeroll takes place on Thursday 10th June at 7pm. You will need 100 Poker Points to enter this Freeroll.

World Cup Final Tournament
We’re running our very own Sky Poker World Cup tournament to coincide with the 2010 World Cup. Some amazing prizes are up for grabs including an official match ball, games consoles and a brand new Apple iPad!
First you will need to win a seat into the Quarter Final by entering one of our Daily Qualifiers which take place from Fri 11th June to Thurs 1st July at 11:00 / 18:15 / 22:00. Finish in the top 3 of the 11:00 or 18:15 events, or reach the final table (top 6) of the 22:00 event to win your seat.
The top 50% of the QF field will then qualify for the SF, and likewise for the Final which is where you can win those incredible prizes.

We’ll also be running warm-up qualifiers on Thursday 10th June to prepare you for the big event! These tournaments will be £50 GTD Freerolls.
£5,000 Celebration Freeroll
Come on England!
How do you fancy being part of a £5,000 freeroll? Well that dream can become a reality if England win the World Cup! That’s right, if England win the World Cup we will host a £5,000 freeroll!
To show that we’re good sports, we’ll run a £1,000 Commiseration Freeroll should the unthinkable happen and England do not triumph in South Africa.
The tournament will take place on Tuesday 13th July at 7pm.
To be eligible for this tournament you must earn 1000 poker points during the month of June.
And don’t forget Sky Bet are refunding all losing outright bets if England lift the trophy!
