i dont have a problem with losing this hand as i fired the bullets myself but i cant see why he called pre flop after a £1.40 reraise on a 10p 20p blinds

Unfortunately, there is no way to stop this kind of call, it may be the oppos fave hand and she/he will not put it down no matter what, I have had top pair, top kicker on a board, pushed cos I know im in front and still got called with only 2 cards to come with higher cards and hit the river, it happens its poker I learned to live with it and moved on.

I think her/his call to your bet on that flop should have set alarm bells ringing, what would they be calling with to call a bet of £5.55?

Once oppo calls flop it is burning money to bet turn.

You can't stop this sort of call, you just have to make sure and send them to value town when you DO have it and learn not to bluff the unbluffable.

yer got to agree with both comments i normally play 25p 50p blinds where u very rarely get wild calls after a 10 times the big blind raise so when they called put them on ace high or kq but 10 7 was just the last thing on my brain also i wonder what the player thought i had a pair in my hand and he was behind but like i said it was my fault for firing the bullets

Blimey looks like you had an aggressive table there, 2 calls for £1.40 raise at that level madness with 10/8 & 10/7, some people just get a good run and will play there luck. after flop definately would let go, although others had poor hands once someones called £5.55 and you have Ace high then would not put anymore money in, also probably would have been checked down seeing there cards from turn unless villain has good read on you both so would have cost you nothing more and you may even have got to showdown

The way forward is to bring more people to the poker clinic, rather than bring the poker clinic to the people.

Task - go and read the first page of the poker clinic and reply to at least 3 different hands that have been posted.

If 5 forum-ers did that today, who wouldnt usually, we're in biznezz !
