HELP WITH World Cup KO freeroll please

Why am i not able to registar for the world cup KO free rolls it says its locked and invite only. Is there a reason for this that i have missed? please help!

    The two "World Cup KO" tournaments are the replacement tournaments for the freeroll that was cancelled last night. Everyone who is entitled to play has been automatically entered.

    oh right i did try to registar the other night but it was locked then also and thought you had to qualify some other way so confused really as would of liked to have played in it.
