bountyhunter tourneys

edited June 2010 in Poker Chat
ever since bountyhunters were brough in and the nightly open finished, the prize money has dropped badly on here, taking a few head bountys is not worth havin lost the nightly open over, i think people would rather have the open back and sky would be benifit more.  maybe im wrong but i think most people would rather no bountys meaning that if you make the money its far more exciting and worthwhile. the add on's, and rebuys are a good and fair idea.  replys on the back of a 50 pound note please.

Im only one person, but i specialise in the £2 and £5 bounty hunters, not quite managed to win any of the higher stake ones, and i often set up my week so i can enter the main event Bounty Hunter. Its the one i want to win, not because of the money or being on telle, but purley because i know i can do better than i have done in that tournament.

I spend most of my time playing cash tables and bounty hunters, win a few cash in most, and usually take at least my money back in heads in the first little while allowing me to have a free game of honest poker. This is why i like the bounty hunters, theirs less of a "bubble" because people are happier to take head prizes and whittle down quicker to the cash mark.

Now i believe the open is still there i see satellites for it all the time, im guessing the lower prize money is because of the less people are on due to the world cup. Which means Sky would be forking too much money out to keep the old garentees. After all they are a business and thats bad business sence is it not.

    Hi Don,

You are correct, we have reduced the guarantees due to the World Cup and once it is over we will do a review and increase them as required.

    Kind regards,

    Bernie

I agree with topchippy, Bounty hunters are not for me, as I find them a bit of a fish-fest to be honest.

I'm more in favour of the Double-stack opens on wednesday and friday, far better value and far better gameplay.

Maybe these could be shown, and it would lead to better play, analysis and lessons?

Or a mega-deep open, starting at 6/7pm but not on channel til 8?
