Horrendous luck for Darren. Poker is a harsh game sometimes, hopefully he enjoyed the experience and can walk away with his head held high knowing that he got his chips in the middle when miles ahead.

A great start for Guy, very well played, hopefully he'll be feeling less tired and over the jet-lag after the rest days between now and day 2.

A Brit (James Mitchell) is the chip leader and there are many Union Jacks well placed after Day 1A. Guy is in 476th place from 1125 starters.

Car-Crash! Darren hold A-4 on a flop of A-A-4. Oppo holds A-K. All the chips fly in. River, King. Darren felted down to 1,400, immediately shoves & doubles up. Watch this space, it's double-up or bust time.

Just catching up & seen this, that's really unlucky but Darren knows he played it the right way.

Just goes to show though that these things do happen live & not just online like some may believe.
