I am on full tilt

edited July 2010 in The Poker Clinic
I play tight it goes wrong, I play loose it goes wrong. Everything I do seems to be the wrong decision. I know there is no answer. but how do you get through it without freaking out? lol

Take breaks, punch things, swear, moan to people, cry, watch the raoul moat stand off on the news, whatever chills you out lol.

Post some hands on poker clinic, let others help you out. If your just unlucky then battle through it.

The pain never ends.........Just played in a £22 BH.......Hit my straight on the river, but never noticed the three hearts at the same time, as I rushed to get all in. Yes  he/she had a fkush (:  I might have to go back to 1p/2p cash and get some basics right in my head.

The £22 bounty hunter is never easy. i specialise in £5 bounty hunters and struggle in the £22 for some reason. I wouldt worry about missing a flush draw, its an easy mistake to make, however in missing these things you can only learn for next time.

Make sure you dont make it again but you will get there. Im known to go on tilt alot, my advice is take a break. I usuallly have it as a war game on the xbox, kill some people and return refreshed. Gets the frustration out without killing or damaging anyone or anything.

Wish you luck for later in the week redman

Been having a painful week myself. On tilt Tuesday evening and since then no matter how I play I seem to lose every race and every time I get a decent hand someone seems to have a better one. I've had a decent run up until last weekend so I suppose some of that is just variance kicking in. I've even tried dropping down a level, but there's not a lot of scope for that as I'm pretty low anyway (unless I resort to freeplay).

Well now I am bordering on going insane......This hand was on saturday 10th July in the 3k open 271323913..........I went all in on a pair of queens. Not only did 1 player have a pair of aces in their hand....but 2 lol. I am cursed and I hope they show my agony on TV lol.

Ouch sore one, but at least you know if you hit on of those 2 queens left, they have 0 aces to hit so bar a 4 card straight/flush yu garenteed to win. With a lower pair against and over pair thats almost ideal. Whats worse was a hand i seen on youtube which was KK v KK v AA. One of the kings couldnt win bar a splitter straight as the Aces where the exact same suit.

you need to take a break mate for a day or two.
I've had a couple of days of losing, going all in ahead and peole hitting their outs mainly on the river.
Even had a caller with an allin pre flop with KK and they had 3 5! They hit 2 pair on flop!

Go to the brilliant thread - ask Irishrover in the clinic. He has some good advice there which I've tried to take on board. Honest irish!

    Good luck at the tables!

Thanks to all you guys for the advice. Played a small stake BH with only 15 in, but won it. Was the longest hard fought heads up for £12 i've ever been in, but boyyyy did it feel good to win again.
