Am I playing too tight?

edited July 2010 in The Poker Clinic
Been struggling the last couple of days, losing due to a mixture of being passive and aggressive (I think) at the wrong times, and being extremely card dead. Blinds at 50/100 and my stack just under 3k, so not in desperate need- original raiser had been busy, but second raiser hadn't. Original raiser has me covered, second raiser has me as good as covered- would have had a couple hundred left or so. I was planning on raising the first guy allin, but when the second hefty raise came in I thought for a time and dropped out- regardless of whether that was correct in hindsight, was this a correct play, or too tight?

yeah played it right imo, calling sucks because the first PRF could shove which would prob price you in, by flatting you are OOP 3 way and even on a 9high flop you dont really know where you are. 4betting I dont like unless you know that the 3better does this often light, but by cold 4bet shoving you are only going to get called by better and perhaps AK which is a toss up.
