I was heading out on Friday night for a game at my local Casino.
Before I went I was watching a little poker action on PokerTube and My wee girl noticed a player putting a card protector on his hold cards.
After a brief chat about Card Protectors she toddles off.... only to come back a few minutes later with a little gift for me, "There you go Daddy, this will look after your cards for you and make you win".
"Thanks Darling, that's great I'll definitely win with this on my cards", says I, at the same time thinking, "That's straight in the bin as soon as I'm out the house"
Any hoo, off I pop and I'm soon sitting at the table in the Casino. It didn't start off good or bad, Still at the level of my starting stack at the first break and so I decide to take advantage of the add on that's available.
As I put my hand into my pocket, out comes the card protector my little girl gave me. "What the heck, I'll use it after the break, It'll get a few giggles at the table at the very least"
Suffice to say for the rest of the evening my cards and reads ran a little better, ending up with me coming in 3rd place for the biggest live cash of my, relatively short, Poker career. So I'm now stuck with it. There is no way I can get rid of my good luck charm now
So here's a piccie of my Card Protector, actually covering the very first hand I was dealt after I started using it.
So if anyone else would like to post pictures of their embarrassing Card Protectors, feel free to add them here
See you on the tables
Jock

I'm sure that she'd be crushed to know that you were thinking of binning her present!
I can hardly wait for the picture to be passed. :-)))
everything has a story, that story might be meaningless to someone else but if it matters to you then thats all that counts. It sounds a very appealing story none the less, and the fact your daughter has gave it to you means it has pride of place above any two aces.
I can just imagine it being a lil on the pink barbie doll side (not sure how old your daughter is nor will i ask so this maybe a little out of time range) but that is just my impression.
I had a blue one of them as a kid, but never seen them in years
I am going to feature this thread on The Club tomorrow, so if anyone does have any pictures of there card protecters then post them on here and i'll try to show them.
Thanks guys
Hand picker Harry
The other one in the picture is a $1 chip from the Aria Las Vegas, in memory of a very nice cash win there.
