It's quiet in here. Very, very quiet. We imagine that the pressure of what these players can potentially accomplish is keeping their lips zipped for now. Winning a few early pots helps to relieve that tension. John Racener has his first chips. He opened to 275,000 from early position and was called by Michiel Sijpkens. By the way, if our information is accurate, Sijpkens could become the youngest Main Event champion ever if he were to go the distance from here. He would eclipse the mark -- set just last year by Joe Cada -- by approximately five months.

Does anyone know roughly how many hands per hour they are playing? Redmond will be coming back with just over 16 Bigs but I don't knw whether that will be comfortable for the next 2 hours. Still ... lets hop he gets a monster so that he doesn't need to shove riskily.

No Caller for Lee... Yet

Brandon Steven opened for 425,000 from the cutoff. The next player to act was Redmond Lee, who moved all in for about 2.0 million total. Action folded back to Steven, who could only keep repeating the word, "Wow." After the fourth or fifth iteration, he finally folded his hand.

Another blind steel (from the size of the gain) and up tp 18th. (That's worth c+$80k if held.) Interesting, if we ignore the last 3 zeros, the words Lolufold and ladder would never find their way into the same thread ... but then if we ignored the last 3 zeros, no-one would be watching!
