edited July 2010 in The Poker Clinic
ok i have a feeling i know where i went wrong here but still think cant really get away from the hand, against small chipstacks with no reads as such but they had come in shortstacked and won a couple of hands being aggressive

against a shortie, i would BET BET BET here.

against a full stack, I would cbet the flop, I would not bet pot never here, the board is super dry. To me it seems like you was scared he might have a jack and wanted him to fold everything he has, so you just pressed pot

You check turn which is what I would of done, i would of bet the river for thin value if they checked, or fold if they make any large bet.

i would of set him in on the turn but it all ends the same way

same as although had incline after flop he hit the J but against a loose agressive when are you ever folding in this spot. played poor after flop thought would play same way for bluff

on the flop he can call with a flushdraw or pocket pair, he hasnt got a lot back so just stick it in on the turn so if he aint got a jack he cant get away from it as your never folding the river

In my books you have to think ur ahead flop and turn, I would have bet turn he would have pushed here any way, as you noted he was very aggressive so the chips were in the centre however you played this hand the result would have been the same.

You had a bit of a mare with this one as he hit a big flop
