PTP - NOW NOT FEATURING THE POKER QUIZ!

Greetings from Finland!

Even though I'm officially on holiday, I'll be joining you on Sky Poker from 7pm for a Play the Presenter session focussed on the game of Omaha.

As I'm not 100% sure about the speed/strength of my broadband connection (and I'll be playing on a 13" screen laptop), I intend to avoid opening too many tables this evening, so apologies for not registering for the Monday Night Deep Stack or tonight's Take on Tikay event.  I promise to enter both tournaments next week.

However, I will play a mix of PLO and PLO8 cash - and look forward to your company at the tables.

And I'll be giving away a special prize (not sure what it is yet - waiting for confirmation from Sky_Claire) in my prestigious Poker Quiz.  What do you need to do to take part?  Simple: be railing my table at 10pm.

As usual, I'll use this thread to let you know where I am at all times

Im sure your going senile Tony, that sign next to the 13 is inches not square feet, which by the way is how much room you'd need for your "latest" PC. LOL

Finland? its not some backwater town in the middle of nowhere you know! Next time take a decent lappy with you and choose a hotel/guest house with decent internet access, here is some information on what you can expect from Finnish broadband. Now don't come back until you've read and digested the whole package!! happy reading!!

I know Finland (the country and the Monty Python song) very well.  I got married here 10 years ago and visit twice a year.  Alas, my in-laws went for a cheap broadband package!

Regarding the computer issue: as a frequent flyer, I believe in travelling light and opted for a laptop that weights 1.36kg

Managed to win a buy-in at 5p/10p PLO.

Will attempt (for the second time) to get a 10p/20p game going in the next few minutes.

Then, in an hour, it's PLO8 time!

It's Omaha, so unfortunately not a tv table.  However fingers crosed James mentions it on the next tv show. ;-)

So, I win a BI at 5p/10p and then lose a BI at 10p/20p.  Yep.  That's how I roll!

So, a fun finish to the evening with an entertaining PLO8 session.  And it was almost a winning session.  But SoLuckbox appeared on the table about 10 minutes before the end - and I just cannot win a hand against that man right now :-)
