Rebuy freeroll

edited August 2010 in The Poker Clinic
Last night I played in the 7pm. freeroll. I enjoyed the experience.
I spent £1 on a 3000chip rebuy, as soon as I went below 3000. Then at the break spent another£1 for 6000 more chips as an addon. I came about 40th out of 2000, and won £2. It seemed a lot of hard work over about 2and a half hours though. Am I using the correct tactics with regard to the rebuys and addon? I'm not used to rebuy tournaments!

Tactics aside prinny Sky will be very grateful for your £2 contribution towards funding the August festival.

Personally I like the challenge of seeing how far I can get without rebuying ....have cashed (minimal) twice so far but in general I'm nearly always getting past the hour break which buys you a ticket for the freezeout section.

Play canny tight at the start and bet premium hands big if you're on a table where the chips are flying.

    Good luck.

As dud Butini says, in the freerolls i wouldnt use the re-buy function at all. its so hard to make your money back.

However well done in your cash, now imagine you managed that without the rebuys, its pure profit. :D good luck

Thanks for your responses. I really thought that most people would rebuy and add on so the prize would go up. So most people don't bother. Will be more canny next time. Wish I'd come first!!!!I n Response to Re: Rebuy freeroll:
