limped round to me pre - i am in the BB

hit top pair and bet it with one caller

i got suspicious the UTG limp was limping with aces/kings

just a feeling

so put it down as had a weak kicker and these situations always end in trouble for me

Hi guys – great show , glad its back to this format rather than last weeks experiment – I went down to just over 300 chips in first 10 mins of 2nites tourney and was thinking “well thats it for another week” BUT here I am at the first break with well over 5000 chips.

I guess this post is aimed at all  the short stacks out there  - Dont ever give up – keep playing yer game and you never know. – Its never over until the fat lady (or Tkay)  sings LOL

Unusually for this table, everybody bar one limped in! After the flop and with only 2800 (14BBs) back, I decided to make a move. I figured that, even though I probably wasn't ahead, the all in would push most hands off and if(?) I got called I would have plenty of outs! Hmmmm!

Possibly not my best decision but I was ahead.......when the money went in! lol

Oh, and the iPod thing? Well I'm with Ed on this one but if I did want music in my ears it would have to be the Kenny Rogers classic The Gambler or Basket Case by Green Day!!!

In regards to mastaheads hand I think it's a very easy fold. Against a maniac it's a lot more difficult but we only beat a bluff, and no good lag player is going to overbet bluff here that often.
