I quite agree, its not just the number of paired flops but the incredible amount of quads hit here which amazes me. After playing poker on various sited for about seven years, i have been lucky enough to get quads 3 or 4 times. I have been on sky now for 4 months and have hit quads 4 times in one week about a month ago. Not only that, i play about 15 sng 's a day and see quads at least twice a week. This doesn't account the times i have folded rags that would have turned to quads. The odds just aren't there to hit that many over a week. Yes I was grateful for them and will take them when they appear but to knock an apponent out of a sit and go who had trip kings and i turned and rivered quads was not pleasant. This is not the type of poker i wish to play anymore as i have given my share of bad beats as well as being on the receiving end. This only serves to antagonize your opponents and also sends you on tilt. Yes, bad beats are part of the game but not every time you get in a hand should they occur. I'm not being bitter about it, as like i said, i have given as many as i have received.
Turning back to the amount of pairs on the flop, when i first started playing poker, i did so for 'play money' chips on party, it was a standing joke there for quite a while on the huge number of paired boards on the play money tables. Not being controversial but was this to make the game more exiting and playable for the newbie who then may deposit some hard earned and sit on real tables?
