Later this week I'm setting off to do a solo walk the entire length of Great Britain to raise funds for a fantastic cause; MacMillan Cancer Support. From Wednesday you won't be seeing me at the Sky tables or on the forum for quite a while. I'm just gonna have to do the poker equivalent of going cold turkey. Saying that, I'm taking a poker book on the trip with me just to make sure I don't forget how to play completely. On the same subject I saw something in the news a few days ago - someone's doing this the lazy way - on Google Maps! lol (*edit - as LOL RAISE has also previously mentioned, missed during first read!)
What's your route going to be? It would be nice to offer support if you're passing by.
I won't be spending every single night in the tent, I'm planning on treating myself to a B&B every few days to give myself the luxury of a hot bath and a chance to wash my clothes and charge up my electrical stuff. Also in several towns I'm going to drop in on friends and relatives who are going to put me up. Theres more info about the route in one of my blog posts.
I've already done the trip several times on Google Earth/maps/streetview while planning, but next time it'll be the real thing!

Thank-you so much to all the Sky Poker forum members who've made generous donations to MacMillan and to those who kept sending me messages of support as I made my way down the country. My surprise meeting with Maxally in Stone was brilliant, I was a bit worse for wear the next morning but I just about managed to keep walking.
