flush--call or fold?

edited August 2010 in The Poker Clinic

played villian couple of times - not the greatest player in the world but is capable of making funky moves. he had been raising quite a bit since i joined the table, i had already doubled thru against him not long after i sat down. he limps pre so i raise it up to try and take the dead money - if he calls im always 100% cbettin no matter the flop and 9 times out of 10 i expect to take it down. i make the flush on the turn and obviously think im miles ahead so when i get put all-in it came as a bit of a surprise. so call or fold?

Me being me. im probably calling lol, he might just have kq, and dont want to see another diamond. Im not sure :/

you've had a mare. dont raise pre.  as is I probably fold if i'm tilted I hope he has KQ with a diamond but that's not too likely.

yep ur right i shud def not raise pre! i make such a big deal to ppl about playin in position. but if i spot dead money i always gotta try and grab it (something ive gotta get out of) 9 times out of 10 he folds pre or if he does call a cbet most the time gets the job done and i pick up the cash....
however if i do fold pre i never get in this spot and therefore am missing out on the opportunity here to double thru again, he doesnt have to have a higher flush lol

it's alot easier for him to have a bigger flush than smaller flush hence why i'd be hoping he's on some kinda rando draw that he's just picked up.

tbh i dont see him doing this with K or Q high flush, he limps pre so is passive and probably of the 'LOL TARP' live player stereotype.

pre is pretty terrible, and when you say cbet 100% of flops that is also a pretty big mistake imo.

when i say i cbet 100% of flops, i mean in situations like this (where ppl limp/call), not in general. although if im honest i do probably cbet far too much.
