Tom Dwan, interviewed in the September issue of Poker Player, said, of online poker........*

"...you have to realise that the edges are not so big, & the variance is very high. If you don't understand that, you really should stop playing".

* = He was speaking of Online NLH Cash. In MTT's, the variance is even higher. By way of balance, variance is far less severe in cash than in Tourneys, in SNG's than in MTT's, & in games like Hi-Lo than straight Omaha high. The lowest possible exposure to variance would be in DYM's, especially in split-pot games.
