What would you do?

edited September 2010 in The Poker Clinic
Hi everyone,

Another hand for you. Was wondering what you would do?

I'm still puzzled about his final move and would love to know what he had. Afterwards he typed in the chat box 'good fold' - which may or may not be truthful - lol.
Unless he had pocket 6s or AQ, QQ im stumped! Wasnt willing to gamble this time tho with only top pair and no st8 or flush draw, i ended up folding the hand.

Thanks

Si

if this is that free roll, snap call and fist pump :P

if they have u beat oh well ur still in and its cost nothing aswell

dont 3 bet the flop without the intention of snap getting it in all excited to have top pairs.

if you arent excited bet call the flop and see a turn and how your opponent reacts.

thanks guys - I suppose I could have been c betting with anything. Re-raising on the flop was me reping the Q (which I did have) or showing that I wasn't bothered by it. When he came back at me with the all in, I feared a higher pair that he slow played pre-flop or a set.

Good point Beaneh - about that 3 bet - I wasn't prepared for his response and hadn't thought before hand
    'what if?'

Just need to grow a pair I suppose - lol - stand by my hand if I think i'm good, or slow down a bit after his call to my c bet and see what happens on the next street.

    Thanks again

Whenever you raise you should always know what you're going to do if you get re-raised.

In this case once you 3bet dont fold.

your right yb - i just hadn't thought it through proper at the time. I should have just called his re raise if I wasnt committed to top pair. Its nice to have, but another street would have given a bit more info. 3 betting and then folding was very weak.

    Cheers
