im looking at this hand slightly differently in hindsight. I think i probably should have raised  after the first 3 cards came down to see where i wa rather than shoving. I just didn't believe the guy would have a 5 in his hand after i raised it pre-flop.

any opinions on what i should have done? thanks for any input.

exactly the same probably followed by 2mins of swearing/berating the donkeys play :)

its either ship it or c/f

    ul

he just sets him all in wayne which is fine if u look at the guys stack in relation to the pot

Agreed for this hand, I meant as a general rule to bet 3/4

The re raise pre flop was massive once he called that he was calling your all in whatever he had in his hand, you got stung but the initial re raise in my opinion was too big, he had already re raised 3x the bb if you just doubled his raise it would of had the same effect, he should never of called the re raise with this hand unless he knows ur a very loose player or very aggressive which u seem to be. Its a beat hard to take but you made him put so much of his chips in pre he was calling regardless of what he had and the all in shove with only high cards is a coin flip
