Good or Bad Fold?

edited September 2010 in The Poker Clinic
Hi guys! I'm just seeing what you think of this fold. 'Potton' wasn't playing too many hands, and when he did, he wasn't playing too aggressive. I checked it post flop just to mix up my play a little bit, as previously I had been always been putting in a continuation bet. I thought I was ahead post flop, but not by much! When the river card comes and I hit 2 pair, I feel I am without doubt ahead! When he goes all in, I quickly fold. After looking over it today, I feel he has bluffed me! Or maybe he has a smaller 2 pair. If he hit a set of 6's or 9's, he would surely want to get value for it and wouldn't go all in? Same if he flopped a straight, he would have wanted more money to have gone in. I wish i'd have called now but oh well, I'll know better for next time.
