    Loved that. Great fun and I came 18th in PLO and 11th in PLO8. That's without having a clue what was a good starting hand. I thought it was a post-flop game but kept getting raised pre. Books arrived from Amazon today though. I'll read them and I'll be back. Great idea this league JimmyH, although I'm fairly sure you actually stole the idea from Kendall?

    As he's been brought up in conversation, I should say that I feel a shadow has been cast over this otherwise successful evening by Tikay's 8th place finish in the Hi-Lo event.  Sigh.

    Well, that's me done for this evening.

    No success in the tournaments, but I did score a profit at the cash tables - which makes up for my "accidental" Primo buy-in last night!

    Congratulations to the winners of both OHL events - hi_mum and OnlyOneCT.  And thanks to everyone who played in tonight's tournies.  The turnout was fantastic.  Let's hope we can get similar numbers next week.

    Finally, my thanks to Dave (hawk7112) for his excellent live updates and to Sky Poker's Master Statistician for compiling the all-important league table.  It's coming.  Sooner than you think...

    DID I NEED THAT!..................

    Confidence on the tables has taken an absolute bashing these last few weeks but i am rather happy with ones performance this evening and it is certainly a nice confidence booster!.

    I have to say for the first time in a long time that i SERIOUSLY ENJOYED this evening and thank you to James for forefronting i believe an absolute tremendous format and bring on week 2 and hopefully another leg win lol!....

    Anyhow,

    As they say, form is temporary, class is permanent. 5 weeks yet for youse to duke it out.

    To add a bit more entairtainment to the Omahartigan league? A wee charity bet as to who gets the most points out of you and Tikay?

    EXCELLENT evening's entertainment, well done to SickNote Hartigan, Squawky the Updater, Mycroft the Scorer, & all the players.

    I expected to do a little better than I did, but at least I got some points, & finished north of Dyl, Sicknote*, Solly, Shax, & Co, & on exactly the same points as MereNovice.

    * - It is a little misleading to suggest I finished above Sicknote, because he never actually scored any points at all, but he was gifted 4 points just for turning up, due to a peculiarity in the rules. Which he invented.

    OK, I'm up for this.  But, as I'm currently 6/4 underdog, I want odds!

    So, if Tikay finishes higher than me in the OHL table in six weeks' time, I'll donate £20 to Battersea Cats & Dogs Home.  But, if the roles are reversed, he has to donate £30 to a charity of his choosing.

    Hi

    I think it was an excellent idea and an excellent evening. Just a quick question though, shouldn't the people that finished in the top 8 and gained omahartigan points(new dictionary word I think), also get the 2 points for turning up aswell, for example, the person that won each tourny should receive 20 points plus the standard 2 points?
