In Response to Re: WHITES UNITE! : its ok i found them in the freeroll lobby. (u still have to register great team mates) what are we repping? please tell me it's not bingo Posted by beginluck
Well said begin - just receiving the e-mail does not put folks in the game - all players still need to visit the freeroll lobby and sign up for their fixtures as they come up.
The first game would appear to be a straight forward turbo freezeout with 5 min blinds. If this team event follows a similar pattern to previous incarnations then different formats may well crop up.
i've been thinking about a strategy and decided, as a member of the white team, i should do as well as i possibly can, regardless of who gets in the way. Posted by beginluck
I am in team White! Good Luck my fellow SKY BET players. We are innit 2 winnit innit WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII White for Totteringham Hotspurs! Posted by GREGHOGG
If we're Spurs is 'Arry putting his cut of the rake in his back pocket before the taxman sees it???

We have eleven confirmed/outed "All Whiters" so far. There's nigh on 300 regd for the fixture tonight so it's only a fraction of the full squad which presumably is around the 150 mark
For info the known list has been placed in the first post.
I'm WHITE which, funnily enough, rhymes with my poker ability.
I haven't played in this team format before. Can someone please post some advice and guidance regarding how to play in a team ... do you just play your hand or do you try not to mess up your teammates etc ?
Serious question and any help would be appreciated.

Hi inka
You have to play your own game in these things (IMO)
Everyone FTW is the best way to get into the top places where all the big points (and cash) is.
Obviously there may be rare occasions when this general rule of thumb COULD go out the window ...... for example bubble time when you might allow a walk for a fellow low stacked White if you get the chance. But of course any such double teaming does rather fly in the face of general poker etiquette and you may feel uneasy doing it.....in which case don't.
Good luck .....and if you take other White chips use them well!!!

You'll notice I've amended my initial post whilst you were replying!
The main thing with these team events is that Sky put them on for us to have FUN. I never used to have the chat box on AT ALL until I played in the last team event. But these things make you get involved.
One thing you'll notice is that when you sign into the game tonight it will NOT feel anything like a free roll. It will feel like a £50 entry tourney because you want to do well for your team!
These are the times when you know you are involved in the BEST poker site in town.
Not sure quite how 'available' I'll be tonite. Missus is out so at different times between 7 & 9 I have 3 kids to beat into bed and a lot of poultry to shut away. If any of these play up I could be away a lot.

It should also be a good chance to see how some of the better players play the game and pick up some tips.

I was gonna ask same question.. You dont really want to knock a white out. Bu ti suspose you just play the game, but try be more conciderable to your mates. eg dont knick there big blind when ur sb
On a table with 5 aways for about 15 mins. One of them turns up and beats me All-In with a 24 versus and AJ. I got all my chips back and saw him off (mainly because he was All-In every hand), but boy was I ready to rant.
