The MasterCash Show Thread - with added "Cash £300"

This week's MasterCash on Saturday will feature "Cash £300" (we hope), as well as the usual range of Cash Tables, starting at the lower Levels early on, then dip in & out of "Cash £300", depending on how many Tables get going, & finishing with the 5-4-3-2-1 new-stylee "Top of the Pots" countdown.

Rich Orford, described last week as looking like a sack of potatoes, will be in the Presenter's Seat, & I'll be Co-Pilot in this, the last of my current rota of Saturday's, as I move to Sundays in October.

So, as I wave goodbye for now to Saturday nights on 865, let's hope we get plenty of "Cash £300" action.

    Anyone up for playing the televised Cash £300 tonight?

    Orford is the Presenter (we could not get Hartigan) but that aside, should be a great night on Channel 865 & Sky Poker.

    Before we head to the Cash 300 tables, we will be kicking off tonights action with the 15p/30p tables - so get yourself over to the lobby & sat down at Master Cash 5 or 6, then just maybe we will see some of your play opening tonights show.

    Would you please wish my boy Stuart a happy birthday for today as he is 9 now. Got him some more lego but he's had to build it on his own because uncle rich wasn't here.

    Tikay is the analyst. We couldn't get anyone better qualified to talk about poker e.g. Hartigan, Giddins, Harris, the security guard, the cleaning lady, my nan, my 3 year old daughter, a plank of wood....ad infinitum....

    yup that's them...

    although the official result after 90 mins for betting purposes was 1-1. they then got a couple of cheeky penalties.

    I know you hate football chirping tikay, but surely your Brentford boys deserve a mention!?

    Right then- we're going live in 150 minutes.

    So on tonight's show it's Mastercash tables 5 and 6 to start with (15p/30p).

    And then, about 40 minutes later- we're setting up camp for the rest of the night on the Cash 300 tables to watch the big action. The pull-up is £300 and we should have a glittering array of Sky Poker's finest players on the tables.

    Tikay and I will be your tour-guides throughout the evening- so expect the usual spats and bitterness.

    Key phrases to look out for tonight "scruffy", "sack of potatoes" "old biddy", "Arsenal 2-West Brom 3" and "What exactly were you doing with your hands inyour pockets whilst watching the girls in hot pants at the WSOPE this week,Tikay?"

    Should be fun then.

    It's your show though so please get involved and get posting on this thread with hand requests and banter.

    Now, Phil Helmuth this week made a typically over-the-top entrance to the WSOPE featuring a branded double decker bus, complete with full brass band and a gaggle of Lady Gaga lookalikes doing a dance routine to 'Pokerface'.

    If ever any of the Sky Poker presenters or analysts had to make a similarly grand entrance to a big poker tournament, what would you expect it to look like?

    Do either of you 2 plan to ever play in the WSOP main event?

    Especially TK, as a professional or ex professional I was surprised to learn that you had never played it. Why?

    And if "work" is your excuse, how about the HORSE world championship, as you like the other versions of poker,? You can play that and still cover the main event for Sky......?

    I guess for Rich, as a casual player like most on sky poker, it's more of a dream/long shot, but you would like to do it at some point right? 

    Thanx, Im looking forward to watching some good stuff tonight, Im on a 10 day break from sky poker cash, but reallllyyyyyyyyyyyyy tempted tonight, have to avoid temptation!

    Rich, dressed in a white suit with playing cards printed all over. Swaggers in flourishing a polished black cane as if it's a magic wand. 'I should be so lucky' is playing loudly. Two Kylie lookalikes wait for him at his seat. One takes his cane the other his jacket. He kisses them both and sits down with a huge smile!!!

    Hey again, I don't wanna come across as moany, but I have to comment on something I hear Rich say regular.

    The first hand tonight a guy made a tight fold with an over-pair, and Rich was surprised (so was I). He/you always say though "he had the chips to make the call too, implying that if someone has a big stack, they can make calls they wouldnt normally make.........

    Surely £30 is £30, at nl30, weather you are sat with £30.....or sat with £300!! Just coz you have a big stack, doesn't justify making calls you wouldn't normally???? - Unlike in tournaments, where having a bigger stack can justify a loose call.....

    Thanks Guys, both looking very dapper as usual. Stuart said thankyou and was waving not that he was watching, just an idea for an entrance for tk, he could dress as an old time train conductor and arrive in a locomotive !!!!

    DONT KNOW ABOUT A LOCOMOTIVE.... I THINK A THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE (ABOUT THE SIZE OF A VAN) , DOING THAT ARM THING FOR THE WHISTLE WHILE SHOUTING CHEW CHEW WOULD BE MORE FUN . FULL UNIFORM GOES WITHOUT SAYING......   P.S MIGHT BE CHOO CHOO lol
