Hi melia

Welcome to the forum, the Bounty Hunter is a No Limit Holdem "Freezeout" Tournament, the prize money is split 50-50, half for the prize money, and half on the players heads, the aim is to knock a player out so you can have the "Bounty" on thier heads, you keep three quarters of that money, and a quarter goes back on you head, so if the bounty on a head is say £10.00, you get £7.50 and £2.50 is added to your head, of course, if you go on to cash, tjhe bounties are added to that, but if you get knocked out, you still get the bounties you took, thats about it really

All of what bazza has said BUT i would strongly recommened that you watch a BOUNTY HUNTER on CH865 first,even a repeat.as they give very good in depth advise as to the vastly different dynamics to the game.

Do they? most of the analysts i hear say just play it the same as a normal freezeout, as most of the money is still at the top.

The main difference i would say though is that you have to attack the short stacks more and be prepared to isolate them and get lucky against them.

Lol sporny :P i normally do well in them haha, apart from thursdays night 1 only knocked 1 out and departed just befor the 1st break.

Just play the bounty hunter tounrys as if it is a normall tournament. The bounties will just come along at the right time. There are times though when you can play for the bounties, buts thats later on it the tounrys when the money is big!

I agree totally with watching the show to learn, but I disagree strongly with BH having a vastly different dynamic. The only difference in a BH is ranges are wider, and you'll get called a lot lighter by donk players. The secret is to play as normal, but tighten your game up- don't get fancy and try and 3/4 bet bluff people, don't c-bet missed flops unless you've got a decent read already on your table, and try and get your chips in as soon as you connect strongly. People WILL donk their entire stack off with top pair any kicker, any straight/flush draw, even second pair is good enough for a lot. If you're patient and wait to pick up and hit premium hands, BH tournies are a cinch.

However, do be prepared for fury when donk play gets rewarded for long streaks, because it does get draining when you go in time and time again dominating your opponent but they keep hitting. Got to hold faith that if you keep doing the right thing, eventually it'll even out and tip in your favour.
