Obviously i have showed i have called, but are you doing the same? Or would you assume you are up againts a biger pair?

Play 5 tables so no reads on these guys. It did go throught my mind that they had mayb ak or a lower pair as it is 2/4 ( i know not all people at 2/4 over rate pair of 8's ect)

Once the guy raised £2 after i called all in. I put hm on bigger pair. But i still dint lay down :(

limp/4bet/6bet preflop i dont think this is ever a worse hand.
i would either jam or fold when gager shoves btw

your initial raise should be bigger preflop

On the button with Jacks you HAVE to reraise a LOT more, up to 40p for me. When Windor some pathetic minraise just get it in the middle (meaning SHOVE) and start praying. ;)

I thought that raise was enough :(

Why do you have to raise more on the button with jacks? Does it get played different if i was in the small blind?

you should raise more when OOP but still should be raising bigger pre like 32p ish i think

Sos when I said on button a "LOT" more, bit misleading I mean just anywhere, and as it's 2p/4p they will call with anything which is why raise as much as u can. If your in small blind maybe bit more as rest of hand is OOP.

One of the main problems we have at this level, is defining our big starting hands. It's easy to press the 4xmin tab, which i'm guilty of, trouble is it's only 20p, which is not enough to thin out the rag ace brigade.

So what do we want to do, put in a bigger raise and risk scaring off any callers and take down a few blinds. At this level it can hardly seem worth taking down a pot of 10p. Unlike the higher levels where the blinds are higher.

I often find it hard to know what to do for the best, but we all know It's good practice to lead out with a big bet regardless of what we have.

In other words, dont send the kids out to do their dads work.

taking down 6p at nl4 is exactly the same as taking down £4.50 at nl300

you have to love the limp with qq then the min re raise with kk!!

that's why it's soo hard to read people at this level.
