Was I right to fold

iI was in the small blind with 3 d4 d on a 5p-10p cash table i called to make up the big blind the flop came kc qd 10 d I checked the big blind checked there was a bet of 60p by the one off the button, the button called, I called, and the big blind folded, the turn was the jd giving me the flush draw, i checked the next player bet £3.30 the button folded, iI called and the river came the 7h, i checked as my flush was not that strong and waited to see what the next bet would be, he bet £8.80, my questin is do I call or fold or should i have pushed all in for my remaing £14.00 on the turn, i did but him in the sraight but the big bet also told me he could have had the flush. I folded but would appreciate your comments

Why would you call on the flop and the turn if you were going to fold when you made your hand?

i would rather lead than check call here, there is a 4card straight out and you miss so much value by having them check behind

if you thought your hand was good enough on the turn to call £3.30, why would it not be good enough to call/raise on the river??

i think the only thing which would stop me there is either another flush card or the board pairing on the river. mind you my poker game is about as hot as my gran lap dancing in a pink thong!!
