trying to trap with a set- wise move or not??

can i have some opinions to see if i played this set right or wrong. i tried to trap the player by flat calling his bets and then betting out on the river to try and represent a busted flush draw. all i ended up doing was falling into his trap although he did say he thought i may have trip 9's

In a live game today, flopped a set of kings, player went all in with flush draw, after 4 flushing flop, turn gave him his flush, ouch.

All the money should go in on the flop here. You bet out and get raised on a flop with flush and straight draws (un-raised pot pre so could have any 2 cards), he isn't folding here. Get some money in. 

The guy doesn't have enough money behind on the river to fold to any bet, so he's never gonna believe you have a busted draw, you have no fold equity.

His comment about you flopping top set is paranoid thinking, I see people say it alot, they flop the king flush, get it in against top pair and say "phew, I thought you had the ace flush". - they don't really think that tho, or they wud have folded, obv.

Just remember to bet/raise your hands strongly, until you get to a level where you can/need to slow play.
