    Alas yes this is true

Looks like the standard blind steal though, unfortunately with less than 5 bigs behind you this was a good a hand as any for you to fire back with.On this occasion you were just very very unlucky.

I agree with debdobs, the player was stealing the blinds from the button, but with your stack when you shoved he was pot committed, even before your call you must have known you were probably only a 50/50 with JQ suited, however it was unlucky, and like everyone keeps saying you want callers like that, in the long run you will win, and i know for a fact you do!

I'm not complaining that he made the move or the call...... that was always going to happen. He'd been ''at it'' for quite some time and came best off against a number of other players. I have no complaints with that at all and in fact I've cashed in 4 out of 5 of the last ME's this week but gone out in similar circumstances against junk hands. Any hand is ''live'' preflop but the number of times that the bigger stacks dominated hand wins is rather startling. Hopefully it's just a phase and ''normality'' where the best hand wins occasionally will return.

Zomg!!!! 42>QJ for less than 6bbs, what is the world coming to.

And if you want to get your chips in with a chance of being a big favourite I would suggest not calling allins with A5 when your still 20bbs deep. Just a thought.

Maybe you should play elsewhere seeing as skypoker obviously isn't rigged to favour the better players such as yourself? lol
  • edited October 2010
elsa dog hasnt suggested otherwise yb just that the opponent is idiot and shock they hit, i agree with you re: A5 point but there maybe some historyto that i assume

Erm when he says 'thats SKY poker' we can assume that he thinks something is amiss with this site's software rewarding bad players no? And if you're shocked at losing a 65/35 or w/e it was then its probably not a good idea to player poker.

Fwiw I probably fold the first hand also.

You inferred it's rigged ..... not me.

I never said it was rigged ....... I said that's Sky Poker. Calling with a rag ace depends on history and understanding your opponent. But I defer to your superior knowledge and skill ...... you obviously know more than me about this game.

I've never inferred that it is rigged in any way actually, I said that the tone of your post is suggesting that something is not as it should be. But obviously anyone who has played a fair amount of poker knows these things happen to everyone, and more that we want these calls/shoves to be made against us because over time its beneficial.

And calling with A5 is fine if you think its ahead of his range, but its a high variance route as you are never going to be that far ahead so crashing out in that spot is pretty standard tbh.
