X FACTOR BETS

edited October 2010 in The Shed

The x factor is appon us and if like me the main telly in you house will be on itv every saturday and sunday until xmas, its worth a few bets to make it more interesting so hears my views.

TOP OVER 28   Mary Byrne 7/4
Shes the only irish comptitor and works for tescos so is assured of plenty of votes and support from both also the show is all about rating and all the time shes in the irish add moneys still coming.

TOP MALE   Aiden Grimshaw  9/4
hes younger and has better marketability the matt the odds on favorite in this cattorgary who seems a bit one dimensionional and can only keep up the humble guy front for so long.

TOP GROUP FYD 5/1
this one is between the two boy band as girl groups always have no hope. the other boy band are 4/9 on and thats no bet as groups made by simon tend to struggle to win over the synical public.

TOP GIRL Rebbacca Ferguson 4/5
this is a tricky one but the scouse songstress is the safest bet as cher is going to struggle to win over the older voters and also would seem to be limited to styles she can sing.

stick the 4 in a lucky 15 and you should get a decent run for your money

FIRST ELIMINATION

When betting on any elimination dont forget the judges get the final say so the least popular act with the public
which reading the papers will be katie wassel wont definatly go out. the first week is always the most difficult as we have no voting form to go on.
so im going to have a couple of bets Nicola Festa 8/1 the drama queen italian will struggle to curry favour with the british public and Belle Amie at 6/1 as previously mentioned girl groups allways struggle.

I would just like to add that i have expirience in the music biz as i used to work on the record counter in woolies
and am hoping to become to the x factor what silentbob is to the footy bets

Never watched the X factor, but from reading my paper it would seem that the Zimbabwian lass will get a "wild card" into it and she'll win it....

Mary Byrne, by over 28 do ya mean stone? we have already had a big un win in Michelle McManus, and the fact mary is Irish and the Irish cant vote i would say she is at a big disadvantage. 1st one out i reckon is gonna be that fellow Mr Storm Drain, cos he's a big drain on milkin the false sympathy and no one likes the big headed yanks anyway! That Madonna lookalike will go far as she has a funny (simon called it unique) i call it screaming cat voice like a Diane Vickers clone, but with the good bits taken out. My tip for the victory is the decorator fella who reminds me of a bad Daniel Beddingfield impersonator with a daft hat, if he doesn't win he can always come round my house and do the decorating lol, but in the end we all know that Simon Cowell is going to manipulate it for his own ends, they will ignore the publics vote anyway and pick their own winner! I heard also that they are letting another one from each category in, presumably Cheryl was still suffering from the effects of malaria/Andy cole fallout and forgot who Simon said to put through, but no worries, we will just tweak the rules, god how i love this but i still will never vote (cos im not that sad lol)

not being racist but cant remember his name tom? that think black guy in overs is good bet 14/1
  • edited October 2010
My bet would be on the lad with the flat cap to win. (not sure of his name?)
  • edited October 2010
the only reason cheryl picked cher is she looks likes her, the ( not being racist ) the black lass omie? from scotland should have been picked over her and that blonde cry baby,
  • edited October 2010
Katie blood vessell is a dark horse.

Tracey Cohen shud be in, as shud Gammuuuuuuuuu???

Theres more to be added, so having a bet now is abit daft. Everything will change so much.

Cher was 5/2 a fortnight ago, 7/1 now. This thing is a lottery.

STORM @ 25/1 ew is the bet.

no she wont,,,, immigration has told her and family to leave country as their visas are outdated and they wont issue new ones as they are not eligible.

Miss Vickers is quality. I've watched every series & she is the only person I've ever actually voted for.

Be interesting to see how this supposed wildcard things pans out though.

I've got a free £5 bet to use so might lump it on the Italian guy to be the first out. Surely I'm not the only one who wants to give him a good thump?
  • edited October 2010

lol Jay you've had more free bets than I've had tins of beer.

I don't mind the Italian guy.....

I want rid of the old Irish woman, novelty wears straight off with those sort of acts, no way has she got the x factor.

It's abit cheeky that the bookies were laying odds on people last week, knowing that they were already out !! (pre-recorded show) That sux, is it even legal??

Get yer money on storm !!!!
  • edited October 2010
JJ mate, it's all about keeping an eye on the promotions. For the last 2 weeks now they've done a promo whereby if you stake £5 or more on deal or no deal you get a free £5 bet. Stake your fiver & run before you lose anything. Free bet for nothing. simples :)

Plus they're doing some loyalty scheme thing as well. FREE BETS FTW!!!

Storm won't win it. Never in a million years. He's got an OK voice but there are far better acts in the competition. He'll be gone long before the final.

Much shorter odds I know, but Rebecca's got to be worth sticking money on. 7/2 but she's got a belting voice. I just hope she doesn't do too many interviews cos the accent drives me insane

silentbob i am hoping that italian guy goes, firstly who has a girls name! nicola and i think quite a few people wont like him so have bet on him to go first see my above post

certainly makes watchin x factor more worthwhile for me, although would have still watched it
  • edited October 2010

Nicolas price to be first to exit stage left has gone from 8s to 6s which is a good sign this usually means someones leaked that his rehearsals arnt going well

  • edited October 2010
fingers crossed bad boy, got him at 9-1 :)
  • edited October 2010
I'm going for the scouser bird.  I don't particularly want her to win but its always the girls that can do an impressive ballad that wins..

Also, where do peoples accents go when they start singing???

I've just realised I am commenting on the X-Factor, FFS,  I can't actually believe I have a view on this nonsense.  I'm going to get a beer and watch the darts to man up a bit.

I Don't watch any of these shows, but know from betting experience that if you give a £75(a Week) to somebody in high places in these shows that has any data analysis(phone votes) that is the only way to bet !! We even got info on Sam Fox leaving next on I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here! at 25/1 the other year. It's like new manager betting ,somebody connected to the club will know something before a press release.

AFTER LAST WEEKS FLYER WITH NICOLO GOING HOME 1ST AT 8/1
AND THREE OF OUR LUCKY 15 GOING THROUGH AND 2 OF THERE ODDS TUMBLING (MARY BYRNE 7/4 INTO 1/3 AND AIDEN GRIMSHAW 9/4 INTO 11/10) IM FEELING CONFIDENT THAT WE CAN BASHS THE BOOKIES AGAIN.

FIRST MENTOR TO LOOSE ALL ACTS SIMON COWELL AT 5/2

FOR ME THIS IS A MATCH BET BETWEEN SIMON AND LOUIS,SIMON HAS ONLY ONE ACT OF ANY SUBSTANCE THE BOYBAND ONE DIRECTION  WHEREAS LOIUS HAS 2 OR 3 (IF HE LETS STORM SING A DECENT SONG AND NOT MAKE HIM LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT).

    NEXT ELMINATION

GOING 2 GO FOR 2 TIPS AGAIN AS I THINK 2 WILL BE GOING AGAIN THIS WEEK. KATIE IS STILL THE TARGET OF INTERNET HATE AND THE NEWSPAPERS BAD PRESS  SO 9/2 LOOKS A GOOD BET.
MY SECOND BET IS PAIJE RICHARDSON AT 15/2. WHICH ONES PAIJE? EXACTLY.

    GOOD LUCK PEOPLE
  • edited October 2010
Paije is the fairly chunky bloke who sang killing me softly last week.

That 9/2 on Katie going does look tempting though. Might have a go on that (in more way than one ;)) & maybe a few quid on Wagner to go as well. Who the hell paid good money to vote for him last week???

MY WORRY ON BACKING WAGNER IS THAT THE USUAL FACEBOOKS SADOS HAVE PROBABLY GOT A VOTE FOR WAGNER TO GET RID OF KATIE CAMPAIGN GOING.
I THOUGHT THE IMORTAL QOUTE "I WAS BORN IN BRAZIL BUT NOW I LIVE IN A BUNGALOW IN DUDLEY" WAS WELL WORTH ASKING THE BILL PAYERS PERMISSION FOR, PERSONALLY I CANT WAIT FOR HIM TO GET HIS BONGOS OUT AGAIN
