It was just an odd hand as the villain had been quite quiet up to this hand.

I was just amazed when he showed ace 5.

From his point of view do you think he shoved as he had the gutshot sd and backdoor flush??

i would guess he was playing you DP, the reason i say this is because when u raise how u did u can guarantee u have paint cards x2 or pocket 10's at a push, also by him shoving if u had anything put a high pocket pair ur olding e.g. AK AQ AJ KQ KJ K10 QJ, i dont think its a good shove by the way! lol

Yeh the guy isn't playing his hand, he's trying to get you to fold yours, with outs if you call.

It's a big semi bluff, you are both deep enough for you to be pushed off the hand, but if he has any experience of playing you he should know that your 4 bet range is probably exclusively AA/KK? - does he know how nitty you are? 

He has 3 bet and flatted your 4 bet pre, so he's trying to represent QQ/JJ/AKss, obviously not taking into account that the only hands you could possibly have here are aces and kings.

So yes thats why it was an odd shove imo.
