No reads because it was my very first hand at the table....

Didn't put any1 on an overpair because I raised pre and there was no 3bet, wanted to kill the chance of an overcard / another club coming down.

bit of a overbet, dont mind it as your outpricing the flush(i think). you have overpair. only way your behind is to set  which is possible but good play though imo flash

nh, although i would say by shoving your only going to get called by flush draw which will hit 1 in 3, or a set
i probably would have re-raised to £12 roughly then probably called a shove reason i would have re-raised rather then shoved is allow someone to bluff you of the hand. obviously if your called and well behind eg.set or overpair then would make a note

I don't like it that much because you should only really get called if you're behind or flipping. Against nervy I'd probably raise to ~ £15 and shove blank turns.

Btw would you always raise the donk bet in this spot regardless of who the villain was?

Well, my only concern with raising 15 is what do you do if you're reshoved on? The oppo may well still be sat on a big draw or have an overpair, and now it's you with the bigger decision.

Having said that, this is why I'm primarily a tournament player and struggle with cash. I'd be more than willing to bank my tournament in this spot, but I don't know how profitable that is in cash.

I like the shove as it saves you having any more decisions in the hand and put the pressure on the villian to decide whether to chase or not. Bad call by him all the same.

Meh the easiest decisions aren't always the best ones.

Deuces if I raised here (which I would do against this villain) I wouldn't be raise/folding but I still think we widen his getting it in range by letting him think he has fold equity to 3bet shove with draws/bluffs. Also by raising to £15 I think theres a much better chance of him continuing with worse pairs.

i fail to see how its a bad call by villain? hes getting slightly over 1.5:1 so he needs 40% and im pretty sure hes going to be very close to that.
