I knew that I was ill.  It started with a cold.  The A&E doctor told me solemnly that I have Acute Hypochondria but since then I just know that it has got even worse and there's no end in sight.  I fear that I must have Chronic Hypochondria instead.

Acute Hypochondria is a nice thing to have ....... think how bad you'd feel if it was a plain one or even an ugly one.

Did the doctor have a twinkle in his eye when he diagnosed you ...... you might be in there.

My doctor said to my girlfirend she had acute angina! She misheard him and slapped him!
