Site Issues 21st -22nd October Resolved

Dear All Sky Poker players

You may be aware that Sky Betting & Gaming sites; including Sky Poker, experienced technical difficulties between approximately 7pm last night (21^st Oct) and 2am this morning (22^nd Oct) 

These problems were brought about by a database issue which resulted in a long delay in fund transfers to and from the poker room. I’m pleased to say the issue has now been resolved and funds in player accounts have all been updated.  If you feel your account balance is in any way inaccurate, please contact Customer Care who will investigate thoroughly and quickly on your behalf. 

Sky Poker values your custom a great deal and we would like to apologise for the poor customer experience you may have had as a result of this incident.  As a gesture of goodwill, Sky Poker will run a £1000 freeroll (freezeout) on Thursday October 28^th at 7pm.  All players who were affected  between those hours of yesterday evening/this morning  (7pm-2am) will be invited into this tournament and you will receive an email confirming this by 6pm on Tuesday. 

Once again, thank you for the patience of those of you who were affected by the incident and we hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks for the feedback Adam, but frankly, I’m still reeling from this.

I just checked my account, and there’s still only £19.12 in there. Admittedly, that’s precisely the sum that was in there yesterday, but still, I feel my expert playing style deserves a bigger reward than that.

I trust you and the Sky suits will have a big meeting about how you’re going to rectify this, otherwise, I might not play here again until tonight.

Sky Poker will run a £1000 freeroll (freezeout) on Thursday October 28^th at 7pm.  All players who were affected  between those hours of yesterday evening/this morning  (7pm-2am) will be invited into this tournament and you will receive an email confirming this by 6pm on Tuesday.

how do they know who was effected? everyone who complained or do they have a list of accounts?

Worst poker site, i have ever played. Problems after problems. One of many bad experiences was when my table froze and had a lot of money in the pot and lost because i could not call a bet while holding the nuts. They blamed my internet connection, but i had another 2 tables playing at the same time which were working fine. From that point i had no confidence to play at sky with my own money. I just play the freerolls and use other poker sites to play with my money.

i was totally bamboozled by this last night, a fair portion of my balance dissappeared, i was really worried until i contacted live chat and found i was number 217th in the queue which somewhat put my mind at rest.......nice gesture £1000 freeroll....thanks skypoker


good point...... how will they know who was affected??? i was in live chat line for so long, my money came back into my account before i even got through to them. when i realised the money had gone back in i closed live chat down 37th in q.

I didn't have funds go missing but I entered the 8pm ME but it never seemingly never registered as the money stayed IN my account instead of going to the prizepool.

Good question. I was missing some money for a while & initially logged on to the live chat but couldn't be bothered to wait through the queue. Money appeared eventually anyway so alls well that ends well I suppose.

Top idea though suits. This is why people come back here.

Sky fixed the problem and then give away £1000.  Personally I think thats an excellent thing.
