Bad beat?

Laid up with a cracked ankle atm, and on tabs, so cann drink, which means I can't play poker properly as I daren't even commit £1 to the pot without a drink inside me.

Thats the background to the hand ;)

Nah trying new games, 2nd hand of the tourny. Did I play it ok? And what r the odds of me losing the pot when the money goes in!!!! I cnt believe I didn't scoop, nevermind lose the lot!!

Might as well ask for genral hi lo mtt tips. Am I trying to make the nuts/(nut draw) then hit pot? Thats it right~?

Hard to know what to say about your play herebecause of how poorly your opponent played it. Firstly they raised pre with a hand that is weak in normal omaha and very weak in omaha Hi-Lo. Then they called a 3-bet with it and were  prepared to shove it all in when at best 3 to 1 dog to win the hand. These are the players that you want to be playing against on a regular basis because they will overrate absolute garbage and pay you off a lot.

Now to your starting hand. It is pretty good (double suited would have been better) with lots of ways to win the Hi pot.Its only weakness was in the fact that it only had 1 way to win the Lo pot. This is where hands like AA23 ds play much better give you lots of options in both directions. But basically it is a good hand and you should be raising preflop with it. Also with the proviso that if you totally miss the flop you shut down and run away instead of throwing bad chips at the pot.the flop comes down about as good as you could realistically hope and when HU against someone who has already donked off a third of their chips in the first hand this is as good a spot as you are likely to find without risking your tournament.

So for me mate you played this fine and just got unlucky.
