Bankroll Management

edited November 2010 in Poker Chat

I have been playing on sky for 11 months now, having been given a fiver for my birthday last December by Sky. I had a decent run for 6/7 months and turned the fiver into just short of 600 quid but then had a disastrous couple of months.
Started playing rebuys, had a dabble at omaha and ran bad in quite a few MEs. Anyway , finished up down to the princely sum of 1.39 at end of October so back to the micro stakes for me. I have now managed to get my roll back up to 130 pounds just playing 2p/4p and dyms.
At what point should i move up  or should i just carry on playing the micro stakes?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

      Thanks in anticipation.

have a couple of buyins at 4p/8p, if you fail drop down if not stay there

what dym you playing? personally 2.20-3.30 are quite soft both omaha & NLH- NL Omaha softess so play them if you understand the game you'll be 1 ahead of most on there lol

Thanks for reply. played a few 2.2-3.3 but have moved up to 5 NLH and am having better resuilts there. May try 4p/8p but will buy in for 40bb as i do when playing 2p/4p. I know this is frowned upon my many regs and presenters, especially Trevor Harris, but i find it easier to build from a short stack.

If your going to play short stack anyway then you could try 5p - 10p? i feel the standard gets a little more predictable here than the 2 levels below but ABC poker Owns the show at this level
