No Aces do suck after all...

edited November 2010 in Area 51

For added humour this hand was only 3 - 4 hands after my quad aces, and the villain is the same player.

I think I am at fault here for calling the re raise, what with 2 players all in. Oh well, i was only losing his money back to him.

I got a bit of lag after the 1st player's all in, which was only a £8 call (had to be made) and when the screen came back I was frantically calling as the seconds disappeared, when I saw the second all in. I do not know what decision I would have made without this. It would still be tempting to call for value.

Would you have called the all ins?

Always hurts more when you lose to a hand like 810 os!!

What should make you happy is this player must lose alot in the long term!

Hmm, a straightening and flush draw board. If one person called all in then possibly but two I think I'd be getting out of the way there. They appear to be very loose players - I don't know if that is true but it appears that way from this snapshot. Of course as they say AA is only the best hand pre-flop.

I think 80p calls from your pre-flop raise are crazy with the hands they had but it looks like this is just the way it is at these lower levels. I just noticed on a saturday night cash repeat that Trevor Harris suggested upping to something like £1.50 or more overbets to give them bad value. I though (possibly like yourself) don't want to scare people off when having a big hand by doing significant bets.

Looks like that's what we will have to do though!
