Thanks but i was hoping others might have similar stories about "the nuts" v what THEY thought was/HAD to be the winning hand.
I honestly thought i was up against a flush but to show the second f/h was a shock, he was soo unlucky.

seems to me like a pretty standard hand, both playing fairly weak suited aces, would have been more interesting if the Ac didnt come on river, or indeed another spade came, to see how either of you would have played your 2 pair. Also did you believe you were ahead on flop?? obviously once thwe river comes, the chips were always going on, but interesting to know your thought process along the previous streets..........were you flat calling on the flop believing ahead but exercising pot-control? Were you ever worried about the flush after flop/turn?? And what would you have done if the river had came something else...........

lol jaegerbomb, pretty standard hand indeed and more intersting if the ace didnt come on the river, this wasnt my question, i was hoping someone would come up with an example of a f/h over f/h, str8 flush v str8 flush etc. Something that happens vary rarely?
In answer to your question about thought process,,
I figured it was a standard raise with A8,9,10,j so didnt think i was behind before or after the flop (although A8 did cross my mind) after his post flop bet i wasnt too worried unless the spade came for the flush as if he had A8 he would have bet more but i wasnt prepared at that point to reraise him as i could fold if the spade came on the turn and the bet suggested the flush. Because the Js came to give me 2 pair i had to reasses and maybe stay in the hand as long as his bet was giving me the odds to call. Im not great at working out %'s but he didnt bet a massive amount for me to fold so i called ( a reraise at this point again would have given him the option to push and i would have had a difficult decision what to do next) Once the river came it played itself. If the river had not come up an ace or J i would have decided on the strength of the bet whether to fold/call.

Fh over FH are fairly common occurences if you consider the amount of hands played across the site per hour. good explanation of your thought process.

I remember in an SPT semi-final last year holding AA on a A-T-T-x-x board and my opponent had AT.

There was once a hand on Mastercash, where 3 people had pocket pairs and each hit their set on the flop...........not seen that often.........Cant remember ever seeing quads over quads though

    Gl and keep on winning
