With christmas around the corner is it possible to debit someone elses account with my card as a christmas gift?

I seem to recall this has been asked before, and I think the answer was no, but it might be worth giving customer care a call.

the answer will be no, i`m afraid, i know this even though my misses and i have a joint account, when my card expired and was waiting for knew card i tried useing misses but because it was her name on card they said they could not even if is a joint account
